HeadStart is designed especially for freshmen and sophomores — and for anyone exploring a future in accounting or switching majors. This interactive, one-day virtual experience gives you an inside look at life in tax, audit, and other exciting accounting career paths.

During the program, you’ll connect with Aprio professionals from across the country, take part in hands-on activities, and gain valuable insights into what it’s really like to work in public accounting.

The best part? HeadStart participants get early access to interviews for next year’s internship opportunities — giving you a true “head start” in the recruiting process.

Aprio 101

Aprio 101 is our virtual exploratory program designed to give students an in-depth look at life at Aprio — no matter where they’re located. Through a series of interactive sessions, students gain exposure to our firm’s culture, values, and commitment to inclusion, as well as an overview of our tax, audit, advisory, and specialty service areas.

This program is especially valuable for students who may not have access to on-campus recruiting events or who are early in their academic journey and exploring what a career in public accounting could look like. Participants will engage with Aprio professionals from across the country, hear firsthand experiences from interns and early-career associates, and learn what to expect from our recruiting process, internship opportunities, and pathways for growth.

Aprio 101 sessions will take place in Spring 2026, offering students a flexible, accessible way to connect with our teams, expand their understanding of the profession, and explore future opportunities with Aprio.

Our annual Cultures & Connections mixer brings together students and professionals for an engaging networking experience centered on inclusion, connection, and community. This signature event fosters open dialogue, encourages authentic relationship-building, and highlights Aprio’s culture of collaboration, respect, inclusion, and belonging.

Over the past five years, Aprio has awarded more than $130,000 in scholarships to support these inclusion-focused initiatives and empower future accounting professionals to thrive. Previous Cultures & Connections events have been hosted in Atlanta, New York City, and Washington, D.C., each bringing together diverse groups of students and professionals for impactful conversations and career-building opportunities.
